What I learned at NAB

Posted by becca in Bizz

NAB

  • Wear walking shoes
  • I want an ultra high definition TV.
  • I don’t want to watch sumo wrestlers on my ultra high definition TV.
  • I don’t ever want to see my self on an ultra high definition TV.
  • Coffee is like water and air…it’s a necessity.
  • Looking to kill an hour between sessions, stand in the Starbucks line.
  • There are no lines for the women’s restrooms.
  • Getting free stuff is great.
  • Carrying free stuff around the entire Las Vages Convention Center is not great.
  • Big Wig VPs are horrible about turning off their cell phones during conference sessions.
  • Mark Antonitis proved I was right about KRON (view previous blog).
  • Even highly intelligent engineers take the wrong monorail train and end up going the wrong direction.
  • Even though there were seperate conferences talking about IPTV and Postcastings, every session in every conference touched base on those two subjects.
  • FCC commissioners are amazing at avoiding the question.
  • I have to say it was one of my best expereinces ever, and I realize I’ve found my calling.
